Healing
Beyond
Discovery

We are here to support you.

Taking care of yourself should be a priority at this point in your journey.  It can be very easy to allow yourself to be caught up in taking care of those around you, rather than taking care of yourself.

We're here to support you, via our peer-to-peer support group with over 100 members (and counting) across Australia.

Who we are

Discovering your spouse or partner’s sexuality is no longer aligned with yours can be beyond devastating. In many cases this discovery is paired with uncovering deception, lies and cheating that may run deep.

You may be in a state of shock.

Your emotions may be in a spin cycle of fear, anger, sadness, loss and grief that may grip you, sometime all in the same minute.

The emotional wounds from this type of traumatic pain can be complicated and not easily understood by our friends and loved ones who can often hurt us further with well-intentioned words that only serve to make us feel more isolated.

That’s why we formed Healing Beyond Discovery.

We understand. We have been there. We have the lived experience of going through exactly what you are going through. Our members are from all stages of healing, from those who have only just found out about the status of their partner’s sexuality, to those who have gone through the many stages of the healing process and are living happy, whole lives.

Finding the right support for this type of complicated grief can be challenging. We want to make it easier by providing the type of understanding, support and friendship that only those who have walked in your shoes can truly know.

Who we are

Beyond discovery, there is healing

Support

A confidential and respectful space that promotes positivity and healing.

A space where you can discuss issues affecting you with people who have encountered the same experiences.

A space to breathe

We are a volunteer run organisation and should be seen as a supplement to professional help when needed.
